How to boost Additive Manufacturing (AM) for serial production? Opportunities to improve AM processes and Machines – Presented by Abdellatif Bey-Temsamani, Flanders Make

Abdellatif Bey-Temsamani

Abdellatif Bey-Temsamani, Flanders Make, will speak at 3D Printing Design & Engineering Conference on April 16, during the 3D Printing Event at Brightlands Chemelot Campus in The Netherlands.

With the industrial transition to use Additive Manufacturing (AM) for Series Production, AM machine builders, SW/HW providers and end-users are confronted with different challenges to increase productivity, decrease lead time and produce parts with high quality. The current practice is however far from reaching the desired productivity and quality that are translated to large scrap rate in current production. This presentation will highlight examples for opportunities, based on industrial projects conducted by Flanders Make, to improve the AM process and machines leading to reduce lead time, increase productivity and reduce the scrap rate.

Don’t simulate your design, design your simulation! – Orlando Sardaro, Design8, at 3D Printing Design & Engineering Conference on April 16, during the 3D Printing Event at Brightlands Chemelot Campus in The Netherlands.

We are used to start our design process on paper using a pencil and finish it using CAD. And that is fine. I don’t believe there is any CAD system today that is as flexible as a pencil. Continue reading “Don’t simulate your design, design your simulation! – Orlando Sardaro, Design8”
